MacG and his co-host did not hold back when Zee Nxumalo's name came up on a recent episode of Podcast and Chill with MacG. The hosts spent several minutes unpacking her growing awards-losing streak, wondering aloud what the Amapiano star's next move should be.
Recorded in their indoor studio against a signature yellow curtain backdrop, the duo ran through Zee's five SAMA nominations, which included Record of the Year for Nsaku Tanda, Music Video of the Year, Best Amapiano Album of the Year, Best Female Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year. Despite the strong showing on paper, she did not take home a single award.
Zee's Awards record raises questions
This is not the first time Zee has left an awards ceremony empty-handed. She previously received seven nominations at the Metro FM Music Awards and also walked away without a win. MacG's co-host suggested the experience of being called on stage by presenter Tyler, only to not win anything, was painful to watch.

‘At this point, she must stop submitting for these awards, bro,’ one of the hosts said during the episode. The two also noted that while Nsaku Tanda was a significant song, competition in the Amapiano space has grown intensely fierce.
