After a brief appearance, the matter was postponed to 25 August 2026 to allow for a formal bail application. Meyer will appear alongside Collis on that day. Collis remains in custody at Modderbee Prison, where he is being held for security reasons.

The National Prosecuting Authority has stated that it remains committed to working alongside SAPS and other law enforcement agencies to ensure accountability for the offences.
