SA Weather Forecast: Mzansi’s Warmest and Coolest Cities This Tuesday

South Africa is waking up to a mixed bag of temperatures this Tuesday, with a notable split between warm coastal cities and cooler inland provinces.
Durban and KZN lead with the warmest readings
KwaZulu-Natal is the clear standout this Tuesday. Durban and Umlazi both recorded 23°C, making them the warmest spots on the map. Pietermaritzburg followed closely at 22°C. For residents on the east coast, conditions feel relatively balmy compared to the rest of the country.
Port Elizabeth, on the Eastern Cape coast, sat at a comfortable 19°C, while Cape Town in the Western Cape registered a cooler 13°C, consistent with the Mother City's winter character.

Feel the chill across Gauteng and the interior
Across the interior, temperatures told a different story. Pretoria came in at 17°C, while Johannesburg and Kempton Park both hovered around 15°C to 16°C. Alexandra recorded 16°C, and Soweto, Roodepoort, Boksburg, and Benoni all sat between 14°C and 15°C.
Bloemfontein in the Free State registered one of the lowest readings at 11°C, with nearby Botshabelo at 12°C. Kimberley in the Northern Cape came in at 13°C.
Vereeniging, Springs, Tembisa, and Germiston all recorded temperatures in the 15°C range, keeping Gauteng firmly in mild-to-cool winter territory for the day.

Residents across the highveld are advised to keep layers handy as mornings and evenings remain chilly, even when midday temperatures climb slightly.
