Erik ten Hag's message to Sancho

Sancho started the year on loan at his former club, Borussia Dortmund. He came off the bench in the Community Shield but missed a penalty in the shootout against Manchester City.

Ten Hag was asked if he will feature against Brighton this weekend. The former Ajax boss isn't sure about his involvement.

"We will see. We have a squad, I hope we will have a squad with double positioning and when we go into the season after September 1, that means you can’t select all the players but you need them all throughout the season," he said via Manchester Evening News.

He stressed the importance of the attitude and motivation of players

The prizes are decided next May and until then we need all the players in the squad and highly motivated, that is not an expectation, that is a demand on the squad."

With days left before the summer transfer window shuts, there will be more ins and outs at the club, and Sancho could be one to watch out for.
