The Glamour Boys started the season so well and were among the title contenders in the Betway Premiership alongside Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, but they stumbled on the way, leaving the two other teams in the title race.

There's a call for a new coach to be named after the end of the season, with Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef unable to convince the club fans and the board with their performance after being named as Nasreddine Nabi's replacements.

Amakhosi's squad quality cannot be compared to Pirates and Sundowns own, as they need to invest more in quality for them to be able to compete. This can be corrected ahead of next season by bringing in top players who could help change the team.

Bafana stars Chiefs can sign from Pirates

Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are known to be bitter city rivals, with the Buccaneers recently having the bragging rights in the first Soweto derby of the season.

With the Glamour Boys needing quality players ahead of next season, Briefly News takes a look at two South African internationals they can sign from the Sea Robbers in the summer.

At the top of the list is Bafana Bafana striker Tshegofatso Mabasa. The South African forward is currently on loan at Stellenbosch FC and has found the back of the net three times since joining them.

Kaizer Chiefs have struggled in scoring goals this season in the Betway Premiership, finding the back of the net 19 times in 20 games played. It's a poor return for a team like Amakhosi, and they need more prolific strikers to change that.

The lack of goals for Amakhosi has been there for a while, with the last time a striker hit double figures in the PSL being in the 2019-20 season.

Chiefs should consider signing Dlamini

Another player Kaizer Chiefs can consider signing from Pirates is Kabelo Dlamini. The Bafana Bafana midfielder has struggled to break into Abdeslam Ouaddou's plans at the Bucs, with the French-Moroccan coach preferring other midfielders in the squad.

Dlamini is an option to the likes of Relebohile Mofokeng, Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi, and Makehleni Makuala in the midfield.

He is another player who can help bolster Kaizer Chiefs' midfield options if they consider bringing him to Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs make a major announcement

Briefly News earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs unveiled a new milestone in the club's history on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

The Soweto giants joined the likes of Betway Premiership sides Mamelodi Sundowns, TS Galaxy and Stellenbosch FC to have such incredible feat.
