“After the World Cup, being in America for some time, I kinda enjoyed the vibe here. I like the people and, more than anything, I just wanted a change of scenery, a place to enjoy football again,” Foster said, as quoted by iDiski Times on 9 October 2026.
The striker also revealed that the opportunity emerged late in the transfer window.

Foster began his European journey with AS Monaco in January 2019 after leaving Orlando Pirates, then played for Cercle Brugge, Vitória Guimarães, Westerlo and Burnley.
He believes he can contribute to Houston Dynamo's ambitions, pointing to the team's league position and the quality within the squad.
“I believe that I can just be a piece of the puzzle that fits into the team and hopefully try our best to bring it to the edge,” he said.
The forward added that the team would approach its objectives one training session at a time. His move marks a new chapter after years in European football, with the striker now looking to make his contribution in the United States.
