A Jamaican man has proudly flaunted his two girlfriends who live with him in the same house and share everything including passwords.

Channel Codner proposed the idea

The unorthodox relationship of the threesome was first sanctioned by Ryan Martin's girlfriend, Channel Codner, who suggested that they open their relationship to include another permanent female partner.

The Star reports within a short time they both realised they had an eye on Martin's colleague, Gillane Spence.

"When we realised that we were talking about the same girl, we upped our," said Ryan as he and his two 'wives' sat at Chilling & Grilling restaurant in Montego Bay and opened up about their love story.

Gillane enjoyed being hunted and the thought of being in such a relationship intrigued her. She found Chanell to have a "sweet personality" and was attracted to Ryan's intelligence.

Gillane is attracted to both personalities

"When I found out that they were together, it got more interesting for me. I was like, 'OK, cool, they are both nice and I am attracted to both genders, so it wasn't an issue for me," Gillane said.

Their relationship has yielded two children with, Chanell first giving birth to a son as she was already pregnant when Gillane joined the party, having been with Ryan for two years prior.

Gillane had a son in 2019 which means the household has four children since Ryan, also boasts two children from a previous relationship; a 22-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy.

"We are just a love that's happening. We were put together by chance and then we just took control of everything and we love what's happening," Martin explained.

The throuple, are often subjected to snide remarks and stares by persons who are either curious or disapproving of their lifestyles.

Gillane, for example, said some of her friends, including persons who were interested in her, tried to talk her out of being part of the trinity.

The mother of one hid the story from her family for sometime, then later opened up to them. That year, Gillane, who was pregnant at the time, did a photoshoot with her partners.

In one of the photos, the ladies are seen kissing on the lips, while Ryan offered support. The images went viral.

Channell's parents against relationship

"Most of my family members, to be honest, they detest the whole thing because of religious beliefs and societal construct," Gillane said.
"Luckily, there are one and two who are still in my corner, and I do have their support until today... I am an adult, I believe that I am allowed to make my own choices," she added.

For Channel, her ageing parents do not understand the nature of her relationship and other relatives have never raised it as an issue.

As for Ryan, the only real concern for him was dealing with the question of the environment in which the children are being raised.

He said that when he assessed the situation he concluded that their home was a healthy place for the children.

"When I stepped back for a second and I looked at it, it was exposing them to honesty, people loving each other, a relationship without deceit... it was all good. There were more pros than cons," he said.

The three have passwords to each other's phones and work together to build their relationship, personal lives, and businesses.

They are the owners of Sure Increase Marketing & Sales Solutions, a marketing and sales outfit that specialises in promotions, event planning, social media monitoring and graphic designing.

They also operate a delivery service, S.I.M.S Errands, which operates in Jamaica's second city.

Ryan, Gillane, and Chanell have not decided if there is room in the relationship for others but if they do it will still be a woman.

At present, they all see other females outside of the union because as Ryan puts it, "we are very sexual people".

Although Ryan wants to put rings on the fingers of his lady loves, Jamaican law forbids marriage between more than two persons... an adult male and a female.

Martin shocked his neigbours and family members by convincing two sisters to marry him.

Essien was living peacefully with his wife Nabanti and later on her sister Petronilla joined them after her marriage failed.

The three live in the same house, share the same bed, food, and divide the house chores equally between them.
