Mathew Nolim Siyethemba Duma, the brains behind the luxury brand, says he wanted to add a new prestige to the kinds of fashion he grew up with in Mzansi.

Although South Africans may question the price tag, Duma has definitely defended his choice.

"I've been borrowing a lot from African culture, from what I grew up with and what was looked down upon within my culture, and trying to repackage that as African Luxury," Duma said.
