A local man has just bagged his degree in medicine, officially qualifying the young nurse as a doctorate holder.

Dr Themba Nxumalo's inspirational story was shared online by local student forum, Varsity World. The medical student took to thanking God first and foremost, cancelling out any negative energy that may have tried to hinder his God-given prosperity.

"I want to thank God and the Universe for always having my back. I'm living proof that when God says YES, NOBODY, no power or any other contrary spirit can say No," he captioned the heartwarming post.

Advice for struggling students

Themba had three very important rules for any prosperous student to follow:

1. Work hard in silence and let the success speak for itself.

2. NEVER Compare yourself to anyone, our journeys are not the same.

3. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!
