Oscar Magudulela went from transportation company employee to the owner of a removals company with his wife.

He started L&M Removals in 2013 with his wife by his side and doesn't regret it for one moment.

Oscar realised when he started the business that there was a gap in the moving company market for black-owned enterprises.

It took Oscar R650 000 to start his business, and by 2016 he needed R2.5 million for expenditure and his business' operational costs.

But he didn't give up and fortunately got funding from the National Empowerment Fund, and his business is going strong today.

As reported by The Sowetan, Oscar was inspired by the author Adam Grant to keep working hard on his business.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Oscar's advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to have a good idea of what business you want to start.

This should be a starting point. You must have an idea of what you want to start. It must be solution-oriented and also you need to figure out if you will be able to take that idea forward and convert it and make it something feasible.

Oscar and his wife continue to make the best of something they started together, and it is one of South Africa's inspiring success stories.
