'Uzalo' actors give back by opening their hearts to the less fortunate

- It's not every family that has it all together during this festive time of year

- A few Uzalo actors took it upon themselves to give back to their communities by donating food parcels to families in need

- The families were grateful somebody thought of them

Uzalo Thobani Nzuza and Wiseman Mncube were rays of light to those in need this festive season.

They donated food parcels to five struggling families in Ulundi, KZN over the weekend.

The groceries included rice, mealie meal, a bag of potatoes and meat.

Wiseman told Daily Sun, “We have to share with poor communities.”

The talented young man started the Ikhaya Lamaqhawe Foundation and this was its first project.

The community outreach was funded by the Zululand Municipality and Wiseman plans to do it annually.

Thuthuka said, “It’s a good cause and it’s always great to help others.”

She was grateful for the way the community welcomed them. She said, “I want to thank the young people for touching our lives. They made us feel loved."
