A bride born without legs, Rosie Babor, ditched her wheelchair to walk down the aisle in a heartwarming video that has gone viral on social media.

She had initially planned to use her wheelchair on her wedding day but decided to experience her special day like any other bride, Daily Mail reports.

In a video that was shared on Twitter by The Sun, Rosie could be seen making her way to the altar to be joined in holy matrimony.

Rosie, who lives in Cebu City, the Philippines, wore a specially-made wedding gown that made movement much easier.

Speaking after being married, the young lady said:

"I wanted everything to be perfect for my wedding, so I knew I had to walk down the aisle. It made the day so much more special, overcoming that small difficultly."

The couple in Burundi’s northern city of Kirundo took a lot of people by surprise by proceeding with their wedding plans despite the accident.

Charlotte Mukantwari wedded Gabin Ndayizigiye in the hospital where the latter was being treated following a motorcycle accident on June 30.

Charlotte said:

“‘I’ve been waiting for that date, facing that challenge was like facing the devils’ temptation, I couldn’t imagine my life after missing it."
