CNN anchor Richard Quest finally marries his longtime companion

- The news anchor went on social media to express his joy at having finally getting married

- The two got married over the weekend in a ceremony held in Las Vegas

- It was not clear if they eloped or had a big party as Las Vegas is known for elopement

- The two were supposed to get married way back in March but had to postpone due to Covid-19

Renowned CNN business journalist Richard Quest has finally tied the knot with his longtime male lover Chris. The news anchor went on social media to express his joy at having said "I do", sharing a beautiful picture with his lover in all smiles.

He captioned the post:

"We said “I do” at the weekend. Happiest day of our lives."

As Quest pointed out, the two got married over the weekend and the pin location of the picture showed it happened in Las Vegas, which was also evident from the Cosmopolitan building in the background.

It was not clear if the two eloped or had a great party as Las Vegas is known for elopement. The couple was set to wed back in March in London but due to the coronavirus restrictions, it was not possible.

In a message back then, Quest noted he was gutted about the postponement but was necessary and would marry at a later date with an even bigger party.

"We will marry later in the year with a bigger party. I wanted to acknowledge how we are all facing such difficult times, in so many different ways. This too shall pass," he wrote back in March.

Earlier Briefly.co.za reported, bubbly media personality Khaya Dladla has announced that he is now happily engaged to his bae Mercutio Buthelezi. The actor took to Instagram recently to share the news of his engagement with thousands of his followers.

The excited Khaya, who is popularly known as GC - a character he portrayed on Uzalo - posted a stunning pic of himself and his man on Insta on Sunday and captioned it:

"So he proposed and I SAID YES."

Khaya has been dating his bae for some time now. Mercutio proposed to the star this past weekend. Khaya's Instagram page is flooded with baed-up snaps of the two of them. The Gagasi FM presenter's fans and friends have flooded his comment section to congratulate him and Mercutio.
