Skeem Saam has reportedly lost almost one million viewers. The popular SABC 1 telenovela had a viewership of 6.72 million in September but it drastically dropped to 5.9 million in October.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela took to Twitter on Wednesday, 11 November to share the bad news. According to Mphela's tweet, the soapie - which was one of the most-watched shows in Mzansi - lost a whopping 800 000 viewers. Mphela posted:

"TV: #SkeemSaam haemorrhage viewers. The SABC1 youth soapie has lost a staggering 800k viewers between September and October according to the latest TAMs numbers. It pulled 6,72 million in September then dropped to 5,9 million in October, for their top episodes."

The viewers of the show flooded Mphela's comment section with mixed reactions to his post. Some fans even shared some of the reasons they think led to Skeem Saam losing so many viewers. Check out some of their comments below:

In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that Cindy Mahlangu will make her return to The Queen this week. The stunning actress is making a comeback to the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela following her dramatic exit earlier on this year. Cindy, who plays the character of Siyanda on the soapie, left after her contract ran out.

Cindy's character was shot by Goodness, a role played by Zenande Mfenyana, when she exited. It looks like the stunner did not die when Goodness tried to end her life. The Queen took to Instagram to announce that the gorgeous actress, who has been bagging major roles, will make her return this week.

"Hope y'all are ready to watch your girl @cindy_thando as she makes her highly anticipated return on The Queen this week," The Queen announced on Monday, 9 November.

The viewers of the show with a star-studded cast have shared their reactions to Siyanda's return. Most of the telenovela's fans have shared that they are excited at her return.
