Losing a partner can be very difficult. A heartbroken South African man with the Twitter handle @xhanti_m recently took to Twitter to celebrate what would have been his 10-year anniversary.
"Today would have been our 10th year anniversary," he captioned the touching Twitter post.
Soon moved South African Twitter users took to the comment section to sympathise with him. Each of them shared kind words and messages of support. Read a few of their encouraging words below.
"The hardest thing about losing someone you truly love is that the love you have for them doesn't die with them, sending you hugs. Light and healing."
"I read somewhere that grief is love that doesn't know where to go and I've never related to anything more."
"All is well when Christ shall return to raise the dead, you shall see her again even though we neither marry or given to married but you'll be in her presence at that time."
"The anniversaries are so hard, had my first one without my husband this year. May you find peace and remember she is always with you."
"Anniversaries, birthdays, time they used to come home from work, their perfume scent."
In other heartbreaking Briefly.co.za news, getting a call for an interview after desperately searching for a job can bring so much hope - this is the same hope a young lady experienced recently. Unfortunately, her hope was soon crushed after she travelled all the way to Johannesburg for a supposed job interview.
Taking to Twitter, @gomii_meje explained how she had left her home after receiving news that she had an interview in the City of Gold. However, after she arrived she sadly found out that the interview was a scam.
"Not me coming to Jozi for an interview only to find out it ain’t legit," wrote the broken-hearted Gomii.
