Cape Town City FC has put a whopping R44 million price tag on Craig Martin. The wing-back has reportedly caught the eye of Orlando Pirates but the Buccs will have to be really keen on getting the young footballer to fork out such an insane amount of money.

The 27-year-old has been representing Cape Town City since 2017 and made a total of 86 appearances. Martin has shown a few great performances in recent times allowing for two assists and a goal in his eight DStv Premiership appearances.

It seems as though Josef Zinnabauer's team is wanting to build a stronger side but if they really want Martin, they have some tough negotiations ahead of them.

According to KickOff, City initially wanted R5 million for Martin, the number then rose to R8 million in 2019 and now Cape Town City chairman John Comitis says he will not accept anything lower than the R44 million.

While a report by The South African stated that Comitis revealed that Martin would only leave City for a European-based offer.
