Mzansi television fans have been super excited about the new reality show, Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) and the first few episodes have brought some unexpected twists and turns.
DJ Tira's wife Gugu Khathi will be joining the cast of the reality television show. According to a report by the Daily Sun, the businesswoman is going to be bringing her own flavour to the spicy show.
Gugu will be joining the show in the upcoming months. Producers are thrilled with the choice of bringing her into the show.
"Producers think that the show needs a bit of spice to make it more interesting. She's coming to the show with something different," said a source.
According to the source, viewers of the show will be exposed to a totally different side of Gugu that they didn't even know existed.
There are quite a number of things that Gugu has done in the entertainment industry that people are not aware of. Gugu was handpicked by the director to join the show.
Gugu said that doing the show was going to be exciting for her and she wants to tell her story, letting people look at her in a different light.
"It will be my responsibility to show off women who are able to empower others," said Gugu.

The first show started out by introducing the cast via an event hosted by one of the housewives, Sorisha Naidoo. Sorisha is a businesswoman and married to billionaire Vivian Reddy. Naidoo hosted the ladies for a Diwali celebration.
Drama ensued between Ayanda Ncwane and Nonku. The tension between the pair resulted in Nonku trending on social media.
Twitter user Simphiweh said: “Nonku straight-up told Ayanda her daughter is Sfiso’s child.”
