- Seeing the international love and appreciation, Focalistic took to social media to show some gratitude
Focalistic has been receiving tons of love and appreciation for his music these days. The latest celebrity to show love to the Mzansi musician’s talent is US singer Alicia Keys.
Keys took to social media to post a video and had Ke Star by Focalistic playing in the background.
The South African artist saw the video and took to social media to share his excitement. He tweeted:
“It’s crazy!! This is @aliciakeys & @THEREALSWIZZZ playing Ke Star on a random day!!! ASE TRAP TSE KE PINA TSA KO KASI WORLD WIDE. It’s really possible.”
Mzansi social media users were excited for the Star and congratulated him. Twitter user planet_dodger said:
“Bro that Davido feature was a stroke of genius and amplified the reach of Yanos.Boss moves and talent equals global domination.”
“This what you get when you feature the biggest influential artist in Africa.”
“I would cry for 40 days & 40 nights. God has shown himself, stay humble & keep doing the most. Nna re tlo o dlala music wa gago.”
“That Grammy is coming home soon king.”
This is not the first time an international artist has shown love to this particular jam by Focalistic. Briefly.co.za reported that American rapper Diddy left Mzansi social media users excited and impressed when a video of him jamming to Ke Star by Focalistic was shared online.
The footage showed the billionaire dancing, albeit a little strangely, to the South African Amapiano star’s track. The dancing was so out of rhythm that many thought that the song may have been dubbed into the video.
However, it turns out Diddy is just a terrible dancer. Either way, South Africans loved the fact that the international star took the time to appreciate our homegrown music.
Twitter user FakeAno shared the message on Twitter along with the caption:
“Diddy dancing to Ke Star is how I needed to start my morning.”
“Dancing like a white guy for such a dark guy”
“Went to check is insta... Thought someone edited the video but they didn't. His really dancing to the song.”
“Is Diddy black because he is dancing to his own song in his head.”
“Bathong Diddy ? Dololo rhythm”
“Can someone show Diddy how to do the dance he thinks he’s doing in his head to this song.”
