At 62 years of age, most ordinary folks would have completely forgotten about school to focus on ageing gracefully and spending time with their grandchildren.

For Zambian Maureen Ngoma, that has become the start of a new phase for her in education.

The mother of nine recently joined the Senga Lumbwe Basic School in Lusaka under adult literacy as a grade 8 pupil.

The Times of Zambia reports that Maureen aspires to join the Zambia Army or join politics and vie for the Lusaka Central Parliamentary seat once she is done with her education.

According to the mother of nine, independent women who work in respectable offices inspire her.

That she had very minimal formal education stood in her way of being like them, the reason she decided to go back to where she went off-track and pick up the pieces.

In a picture shared online, Maureen is seen in the company of her grandchildren who were escorting her to school.

Most of the time, the bald head is hidden underneath long and luxurious weaves so it’s nice to see Kelly letting all that go for a bit and show off her stunning natural self.
