A young lady with the Twitter handle @jaclynblohm has got social media talking after sharing a photo of herself attending a divorce party.
Wearing a short dress and holding a balloon, she posed for the camera with a beautiful smile on her face.
She captioned the photo:
"Divorce parties are a thing."
Twitter users soon flooded the comment section with their thoughts.
@GoddenIsaac said women now celebrate divorce because they get to take half of what belongs to their husband.
He wrote:
"When women get rich by taking half of everything her husband has ever worked for usually, including the kids, I’m sure they celebrate a little."
@FineNigerian commented:
"Successfully destroying a man, taking over half of what’s he’s worked for over the years, giving him limited or no custody to his kids is never worth celebrating in any sane society. Home wreckers."
@KenLiiu said:
"Many people get married and have long flourishing relationships. That's the point of marriage. It just doesn't work out that way for everyone. And instead of crying about it, she's celebrating a new phase in her life."
Briefly.co.za previously reported a post on social media which suggested that one should “celebrate your divorce like your wedding” had Mzansi’s social media users feeling divided.
The post showed a picture of smartly-dressed man happily removing his wedding ring from his hand outside the South African High Court, as well as pictures of a car with the words “Just Divorced” sprayed on its windows.
The images were shared by popular Twitter personality, @SizweBebe, who got Mzansi talking with the controversial Tweet.
In other news, a man driving with a large snake while on a busy road is one of those people. In a clip shared online, the man can be seen with a snake curled near the windscreen of the car.
The clip, which was posted by @Advobarryroux, shows the man trying to keep the snake calm as it moves to face him while he and a passenger travel in the black convertible completely aware that they're being recorded.
