Vryheid Horror Crash: 6 Members from 1 Family Reportedly Killed

- Six members from one family, including two toddlers and their nanny, have lost their lives in a horror crash

- The crash occurred in Vryheid, northern KwaZulu-Natal where a total of 10 people lost their lives

- Reports have now revealed that the Mhlongo family aged between three and 27 years old are all no more

Reports have revealed that six of the 10 people who lost their lives in a horror crash in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal were from the same family. The accident occurred on the R34 and two toddlers also lost their lives.

The six lost their lives after the driver of the car they were in failed to stop at a stop street. This resulted in their car colliding head-on with a large Ford Ranger bakkie. The family were in a Mazda 3.

MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni reportedly visited the families of those killed to assist with funeral arrangements. Nkonyeni stated that there were no words to express her condolences to the family of the deceased.

Nkonyeni, according to TimesLIVE, visited the family on Thursday, 8 April, just days after the horrific crash. According to a report by The Witness, seven people lost their lives at the scene of the accident.

The three other people who died succumbed to their injuries at hospital. A team has reportedly been put together to launch a probe into the tragic incident.

The identities of the occupants of the other vehicle are unknown.

Previously, Briefly News reported that Zahara had lost her sister in a terrible car crash. Nomonde Mtukwana passed away in a car crash on Saturday, 6 March 2021.

She posted a moving tribute to her sister in a Twitter post. Mtukwana was also a musician and part of the Mkutukana Sisters band.

The two were very close and Zahara had often said that her sister was her inspiration. South Africans took to her replies section to share their heartfelt and pure condolences with the star. Read some of them below:
