Billionaire Bill Gates and his wife Melinda shocked people after the news concerning their divorce hit the headlines.
However, as soon as the news went viral, rumours started spreading involving one of the interpreters, Zhe 'Shelly' Wang, who worked for the two.
It was initially alleged that she was the reason the wealthy couple split. But, she has come out to refute those claims vehemently.
Wang, who has worked as an interpreter for the Gates Foundation since March 2015, used her social media to deny all those speculations adding that she had a professional relationship with both Bill and Melinda.
The 36-year-old lady is alleged to have shared her own narrative on the Chinese social media site Weibo.
“I thought that the rumours would go away by themselves, but I did not expect the rumours to become more and more crazily spread.
How many books can I read, so why spend time on the unfounded rumours?'' She asked.
She is now pulling the race card, claiming that vicious people are out to use the Gates's divorce to vilify a Chinese woman in the process.

Wang has an impeccable resume. Aside from working for the Gates Foundation as an interpreter, she worked for the Monterey Institute of International Studies in September 2012 and worked on several TED Conferences.
She served in the TED Conferences as an interpreter in April 2013 and managed a team interpreting TED events into Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish.
Even though Bill and Melinda have not entirely disclosed why they decided to end their 27 years of marriage, their joint statement highlighted that the two had stopped growing as a couple.
Briefly News reported that the two have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that enables people worldwide to lead a healthy and productive life. Read more.
