Young English Footballer Raises Money to Build a School for the Poor

England international Jude Bellingham has helped raise funds to build a school in the Indian Ocean city of Mombasa, Kenya, Daily Mail.

The 17-year-old is partnering with the Mustard Seed Project as the school is in the final stages of its completion.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder used his social media accounts to help develop the project which would contain 275 pupils.

A post on the Mustard Seed Project Instagram page read:

"The building is finished! The children are back to school. Seven years since the first phase was built!

"A huge thank you to everyone who has made this dream a reality. Special thanks to Jude Bellingham for his support completing the final phase.
"The children are now all in this building. There are still a few things to do which are of course so much more difficult now that the children are back.
"Covid was a catastrophe of course but it did mean that the builders could get on with work in the school and final touches are taking much longer.
"We are just so excited and disappointed that we cannot go out to Kenya to see it. Roll on the vaccinations!"

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za had earlier reported that Emmanuel Emenike has given back to society in a big way as the former Super Eagles striker recently completed a world class hospital in his hometown as seen on Instagram.

Despite retiring from international football in 2015, the 33-year-old forward has fulfilled his promise to the people of his home town in Imo state.

The two-story building is located along the highway which can be accessible to people to have quality health services.

Briefly.co.za also reported that Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has continued his philanthropic works across the country as the forward has revealed plans to build a mega-million school in Jos south local government Bukuru.

The 28-year-old recently launched another sports complex in Kaduna months after commencing operations in a similar facility built for the Kano residents.

Musa also has other investments spread across Nigeria and the school is the latest project he is about to embark on.
