Acne Hacks Are Out — Eucerin’s Science-Backed Reset Is In

EUCERIN DERMOPURE CLINICAL HITS RESET ON ACNE-PRONE SKIN CARE ROUTINES. SHOWING HOW TO #TREATWITHCONFIDENCE WITH THEIR DERMOPURE WASH EXPERIENCE

Johannesburg, South Africa, 18 February 2026 – In a world where acne advice has moved almost exclusively to TikTok, buried in comment sections, trending hacks and hot takes, Eucerin brought acne-prone skincare back into real life at The DermoPure Wash, an immersive, science-led experience where skin hits reset and confidence drives out first.

From TikTok trends to clinically proven care, Eucerin’s DERMOPURE CLINICAL launch is reshaping how SA treats acne-prone skin.

To celebrate the launch of the new DERMOPURE CLINICAL range, Eucerin transformed a Rosebank retail space into a modern, car-wash-inspired skincare journey, inviting guests to step out of the scroll and into a space designed to be seen, felt and experienced. No guesswork. No algorithm-induced anxiety. Just confidence and clinically proven care.

From the moment guests entered, the experience unfolded as a walkthrough of Eucerin’s acne-prone skin care treatment system in motion. Brushes, lighting and sound guided guests through three decisive zones, each representing a step in the Eucerin DERMOPURE CLINICAL 3-step anti-blemish protocol: Cleanse. Correct. Protect. Each zone brought the DERMOPURE CLINICAL routine to life, gently subverting the world of online tips and hacks and creating an experience that felt tangible, human and reassuring.

At the Cleanse zone, guests were introduced to the DERMOPURE CLINICAL Purifying Cleanser, formulated with 2% Salicylic Acid (BHA) to gently cleanse acne-prone skin, reduce excess oil and help prevent clogged pores. Designed for both face and body, it sets the foundation for clearer-looking skin.

Moving into the Correct zone, ingredient education unpacked the DERMOPURE CLINICAL Triple Action, an effective serum powered by 2% Salicylic Acid to target active breakouts and patented Thiamidol, to visibly reduce post-acne marks. This fast-absorbing step focuses on correcting acne-prone skin and supporting long-term clarity.

The journey concluded at the Protect zone, reinforcing the importance of daily sun protection for acne-prone skin. Guests learned about the Eucerin Sun Oil Control SPF 50+, which offers high-performance UVA and UVB protection with a lightweight, dry-touch finish designed specifically for oily and acne-prone skin, an often-missed step when routines are built from snippets and soundbites.

The beautiful Ayakha Ntunja, one of the faces of the new Eucerin DERMOPURE CLINICAL range, guided guests through the space. Skin scanning stations offered personalised insights into skin type and concerns, with experts on hand to explain results and answer questions in real time. With DJ Ciza setting the tone, matcha and Paul’s homemade sorbet in hand, and camera-ready, insta-worthy installations throughout, Eucerin’s acne-prone skin care routine was positioned as not only clinically proven, but genuinely confidence-building.

The DermoPure Wash experience unfolded over two days, welcoming media and influencers on Day 1, followed by respected dermatologists in the SA medical community on Day 2. This layered approach ensured the experience resonated culturally, while firmly anchoring Eucerin’s authority as SA’s #1 Dermatologist Recommended Brand for Acne-Prone Skin* (Market Survey, October 2025). Spotted at the activation were Xoli Gcabashe, Khosi Twala, Naledi Aphiwe, Buntu Petse, Munaka Muthambi Ayakha Ntunja and many more.

From zone to zone, product to product, the message remained clear: acne-prone skin care does not need extreme hacks or endless experimentation promoted by anonymous skinfluencers. It needs the science-backed ingredients, used consistently, in a simple and effective routine that’s easy to follow.

Guests left with more than just goodie bags and product samples. They left with clarity. With confidence. And with the reassurance that when acne-prone skin care shows up in real life, guided by experts and backed by science, the results speak for themselves.
