The Children of the South producer said that instead of apologising and fixing their mistakes, politicians usually double down and deflect. He suggested that this is a global trend that has played out for decades.
“I believe politicians are tone deaf; they are completely unable to realise when things have gone terribly wrong. Instead of profusely expressing regret and taking accountability, they do the opposite. And this has been proven time and time again for decades all over the world,” Prince Kaybee said.

Netizens react after Prince Kaybee criticises politicians
In the comments section, netizens expressed diverse reactions. While Prince Kaybee didn’t mention any names, several netizens linked his post to Gayton McKenzie and the Open Chats Podcast drama. Others explained why they believe politicians often fail to take accountability for their actions.
Here are some of the comments:
@Zani_Baccaria explained:
“The power they think they possess is the reason they are this arrogant.”
@RaserokeOj said:
“It’s almost like their instinct is to keep insisting they’re right instead of admitting they’re wrong. The lack of accountability is frustrating. It damages public trust and makes people lose faith in the whole system.”
@BakakaFrederic suggested:
“Strongly agree with you. But the people are those who are making them stubborn. If the people can give them a great blow deal come election time, many would have corrected their approach. We see mistakes, and we act as if we didn't see. Fanatism and blind support often kick in.”
@Oojolakes said:
“There's always 60k to bribe. Hence, they operate as such.”
@Tod_Cranes96 shared:
“And that man wanted to send a strong message with that podcast kanti, he is rotten to the core.”
@MohemediModise2 declared:
“They just don't care.”
@Blackmo59091390 argued:
“I don’t think politicians are in it for the people; it's for their own benefit.”
