It seems as though former South African music executive Nota Baloyi has a bone to pick with Sol Phenduka. The controversial personality accused former Kaya 959 radio host, Sol Phenduka, of scamming him.
Taking to Twitter (X) on Monday, 22 September, Baloyi revealed that he had booked Sol for a gig at an event he was hosting. However, upon allegedly receiving his booking fee, Sol apparently did not fulfil his duties.
All of this happened in 2022, as per Nota's receipts to show proof of payment.
Why Nota feels scammed by Sol
Reacting to a video posted by @ThisIsColbert of Sol Phenduka and his co-host MacG, discussing him, Nota Baloyi, who recently celebrated 15 years of sobriety, claimed that he paid Sol R15 000 upfront, which were his booking fees at the time. "Booked Sol to host a gig & he showed up because I paid the full fee upfront, but flatly refused to do the HOSTING JOB. I took it on the chin, but he never apologised for scamming me. They always act innocent!"
The payment was made through FNB and was initiated on 27 May 2022.
The podcasters were wondering where Nota's interests lie as he appeared on two podcasts under the Podcast And Chill Network. However, Nota seems as though he has an issue with Sol.

The Podcast And Chill host responded to the claim, and he gave a cheeky reaction, seemingly showing how unbothered he is.
"He has the receipts. He must open a case. Criminality isn't good. Criminals should be behind bars, not out here podcasting and tweeting amongst us."
Reacting to Sol, Mzansi joked about wanting to initiate a commission of enquiry into the allegations.
@zozombiko said:
"@Solphendukaa, we need a commission to verify these allegations, my guy, and @ChrisExcel102 would be the chairman."
@out_soon_ stated:
"I’m willing to do a commission of enquiry for both of y’all. I want to get to the bottom of this issue."
@JacksonMof11 laughed:
"No way that little voice in the back of your head didn't say 'tell him to go screw himself" before tweeting this."
@sirhighbreed replied:
"I’m familiar with these tactics, you know, he has proof, but it’s not enough to stand at court."
Meanwhile, some people reacted to Nota's post by making jokes:
@ChrisExcel102 joked:
"R15K yonke my Goat. Sol must refund it to me, ngeke phela"
@Zani_Baccaria laughed:
"Actually, what is hosting? Because for Gents, I think you just need to come to the event and drink free alcohol."
