DJ Zinhle is not one to wait around for a man to make a move. During an appearance on 947's Drive with Thando on 7 August 2026, the star gave a candid, laugh-out-loud account of how she actively pursued her now-husband Murdah Bongz rather than waiting for him to shoot his shot.
Speaking to Thando Thabethe, Zinhle made it clear from the jump that there was no big dramatic "Sho maBebeza" moment from Murdah's side.
"I just decided that that's the one," she said, confirming that she was the one who initiated things.

"Should I like your jacket?" she asked him casually.
He thanked her and then insisted she take it, which caught her off guard. As he and his crew headed to the stage, she watched him perform and, right there in the crowd, made up her mind.
"He's nice, that's the one. That's my guy now," she recalled with a laugh.
After the show, the two danced together, and as Zinhle put it:
