A short video of Murdah Bongz partying at a Polokwane entertainment venue has set social media alight, with fans fiercely divided over whether the DJ and record producer crossed a line in front of the cameras. The footage, captured on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, at Slageng, a grill and entertainment hub in Seshego Zone 1, shows Bongz dancing alongside women in a dimly lit lounge bathed in purple, red, and green lighting.

X user @LehulaMary was the one who posted the clip, attaching a candid take that ruffled quite a few feathers online.

"I just saw a video of Bongani and honestly, I don't think he respects DJ Zinhle at all. Maybe I'm too traumatised, but I genuinely don't think that's how someone who's married should behave," she wrote.

The post ignited a swift and passionate response from Mzansi, most of whom felt the criticism was an unwarranted attack on Murdah Bongz.

The majority of those who weighed in sided with the music producer, arguing that the clip showed nothing out of the ordinary for someone in his line of work. Here is what people had to say:

@Conniedlamini4 said:

"Chomi, he's just dancing, nothing wrong here"

@OslinaM remarked:

"I watched this 154673 times; I still can't see anything wrong here"

@ElsSaidIt asked:

"Is this the video?? Aowa Mary😂🤚🏾🤚🏾 He didn't do anything nje"

@lykable1 argued:

"The guy is an entertainer; he's a DJ. His whole career is centred around being in a club scene. Girls, hubbly will always be around. Zinhle is old enough to understand this is the kind of lifestyle not only her husband is exposed to but also herself"

@Perry_twice442 offered a practical explanation for who the women in the video actually were:

"Those are bottle girls. Go check all videos tsa Slageng, and you'll see they're assigned to behind DJ booth. They're at work same as Bongz."

Not everyone was entirely dismissive of @LehulaMary's concern. @uYolule reflected on the realities of the lifestyle:

"...and someone thinks a man exposed to beautiful ladies everytime they step out to work, mostly at night even, where lots of alcohol is consumed, etc, can say no all the time?😭😭 Maybe I'm just too weak for umjolo or marriage"
