Sne Mseleku is no stranger to public scrutiny, but the premiere of Izingane ZeS'thembu Season 4 has put her back in the spotlight in a big way. A candid moment during the episode sent social media into a frenzy, reigniting conversations about her personal choices and family life.

During the first episode, which aired on 20 August 2026, Sne told her former boyfriend, Kagiso Baloyi, that he was not the father of her youngest child. The admission spread rapidly online, drawing commentary from all corners of Mzansi.

S'ne pushes back after being compared to her father

Much of the online criticism centred on comparisons between Sne and her father, polygamist Musa Mseleku, with many suggesting she was following a similar pattern by having children with multiple partners. S'ne, who first appeared on television alongside her family on Uthando Nes'thembu in 2017, was not having any of it.

Speaking to Daily Sun, she described the comparisons as hurtful and disrespectful, particularly towards her father.

"That's disrespect directed at my dad. How can people compare his life choices with the wrong they think I do? The comments were disrespectful. Some people use social media to hurt others," she said.

Sne is a mother to three living children and has previously gone through a miscarriage. She was open about having made mistakes but stressed that she has grown from those experiences and is committed to making better decisions.

Addressing the speculation directly, Sne explained that falling pregnant by different partners was never a deliberate choice.

"No one plans to have kids from different fathers. It's a mistake that can happen to anyone. I've learnt from my mistakes, and I'm doing all I can to change," she said.

She also shared that she has no plans to fall pregnant again outside of marriage, while expressing her belief that children are a blessing from God.

Musa Mseleku stays above the noise

Her father Musa took a noticeably calmer approach to the online chatter surrounding his family. Rather than engaging with every comment directed at them, he said he prefers to step back and let people talk.

"That's why I don't really invest my time in commenting on things that are being said about me or my family on social media. Let people say whatever they think is correct to say," Musa said.

His measured response stands in contrast to the heated debate his daughter's episode sparked, suggesting the patriarch has found a way to tune out the noise that comes with life in the public eye.
