Anele Mdoda and her husband turned heads at this year's Umkhosi Womhlanga, better known as the Zulu Reed Dance, and Mzansi could not stop gushing over the couple's traditional elegance.
Anele's husband, who goes by @buzza_james on Instagram, shared that the pair attended the sacred ceremony at eMashobeni as honoured guests. Representing the Thembu Royal House, the couple had the rare privilege of meeting iNkosi uZondi (Ndabezitha), uNdunkulu Mawewe, and other respected members of the Zulu Royal Family during the festivities.
A celebration of heritage and dignity
In his post, Buzza James described the experience with deep reverence, noting that the Zulu Reed Dance is a profound expression of Zulu culture and heritage, a celebration of young women, dignity, discipline, womanhood and the values that have been preserved and passed down through generations.
