Cassper Nyovest has taken to X to defend his alcohol brand, Billiato, after podcaster MacG described it as a failure in front of a live audience - and the rapper was not holding back.
On 10 October 2026, Cassper shared another pointed post addressing those who had taken MacG's comments at face value. He accused his critics of believing every negative thing they hear without doing their own research.
"That n* definitely knows that y'all are dumb and y'all don't do research. Y'all just believe anything that makes you happy & start rejoicing," he wrote.

The Doc Shebeleza rapper then went directly after the narrative that Billiato, which he founded in 2021, had flopped. He implied the brand's sales told a completely different story.

"Lol Billiato? Failed? If I ever shared sales, y'all haters would kill yourselves, I promise you. You don't understand how big that brand is," he said.
When followers pushed him to back up his claims with actual figures, Cassper declined, joking that sharing proof would only lead to accusations of Illuminati involvement. Surprisingly, the rapper also joked that he would be accused of practising witchcraft at 3 am, a direct reference to the claims businessman Benjamin "Benjy" Maponya made on Podcast and Chill about mining magnate Solomon "MySol" Madibela - indicating that the rapper may be a silent viewer of the podcast.
He then turned the challenge around, questioning why MacG himself had not disclosed his own numbers.
"Y'all wouldn't believe what's going on. Kea le tseba lona (I know you). Lol, why doesn't he share his sales 'cause he claims he's 'doing well?' Hahaha, le akediwa easy yong (you're gullible)."
Cassper also hinted that a new brand was in the pipeline and pledged to keep delivering what he described as a premium product for his customers.

What did MacG say about Billiato?
The dispute traces back to MacG making a pointed dig at Billiato during a public appearance. While expressing gratitude to supporters of his own Chillers Punch spirit cooler, he used Cassper's brand as a cautionary tale.
"Without you guys, we'd just be another failed alcohol brand like Billiato, and we don't want that," he said.
MacG also co-founded Grandeur Gin with his wife, Naledi Monamodi, the same year Cassper launched Billiato, making their rivalry in the alcohol space all the more loaded.
The exchange does not exist in a vacuum. The rapper publicly criticised the Podcast and Chill host and his co-host Sol Phenduka over what he described as insensitive jokes made at the expense of slain runner Elizabeth "Tsontso" Moselakgomo.
MacG's supporters, known as the Chillers, have since rallied around their favourite, trading blows with Cassper online while the two men themselves have yet to directly confront one another.
