The clip, which has since gone viral, shows different types of snakes slithering over his body while more are thrown onto him, creating a scene that left many viewers horrified.

While most would be paralysed with fear, the man who goes by the Facebook handle Jayprehistoricpets appeared completely at ease, smiling and interacting with the reptiles.

He captioned the video that he posted on 5 September 2025 with a message that revealed his lifelong passion for snakes, saying:

“Hanging out with all my favourite snakes, I’m sure y’all know by now that my favourite animal is snakes."

The social media user Jayprehistoricpets explained that despite struggling academically, he pursued his interest in reptiles, dedicating his time to learning about them and building a career around his love for snakes.

"I was never good at school and actually dropped out, but I was determined to learn about what I was interested in. I decided my path at an early age and was not going to let anything stop me. If you want something, then you will find a way to do it. These snakes are a sign of all the hard work and time I have dedicated to my dream," he added.

Mzansi social media users reacted with a mix of admiration and disbelief. Some praised his courage and dedication, while others admitted they would never dare attempt such a stunt. The daring display not only showcased his bond with snakes but also served as an inspiring message about chasing dreams, no matter how unusual they may seem.
