An activist who had been denied being Zimbabwean by some locals due to his skin colour proved that he was more of a local than they thought.
He shared the clip on his X account @DougColtart on 1 April 2026, where it went viral, gaining many views and hundreds of positive comments from viewers who showed him love.
The creator was filmed at a formal event, standing in front of the crowd next to the master of ceremonies. He soon gave the go-ahead for a dance off, which Doug quickly accepted. He showed off his dance moves, dancing to a traditional song with the crowd cheering loudly. The man was soon joined by the MC, who also showed off his talent, causing the women to ululate.

In the comments section, X user @DougColtart confronted trolls. He prayed for healing for everyone who claimed that he was not Zimbabwean because of the colour of his skin. Unlike them, he assured them that he did not hate them back. He closed off by challenging anyone who thought they could outshine him on the dance floor, asking them to name a place and time.

The clip went viral, garnering over 400K views and nearly 1K comments from social media users who were entertained by the flexible dancer. Many viewers advised the creator to ignore his critics and focus on the positive things he was doing for the country. Some called him pure Zimbabwean, saying he did not need to prove that to anyone. One viewer jokingly said the creator had the potential to be a president, saying that's how Zimbabwean he was. Another user advised him to run for the presidency and promised to vote for him.
