A property content creator pointed out that living in Cape Town’s affluent suburbs comes with a hefty price tag, especially if the neighbour is a VIP.

The clip was shared by Instagram user @king.listing on 2 April 2026, where it gained over 100 comments from viewers who were stunned to see the land’s evaluation.

The man noted that President Cyril Ramaphosa owns properties in Camps Bay, pointing out two from an aerial view. He showed a piece of land just a few meters from the president's homes, which he claimed cost 100 million rands, just before any building had begun. Instagram user @king.listing concluded by asking if the price was driven by the location or the high-profile neighbours.

"That’s 4 million pounds. A joke. Much more expensive to live in the Cape. Ask Camps Bay, Clifton, Bantry Bay, Llandudno, Bishopscourt, Constantia Upper, Fresnaye, Higgovale."

"🔥👏🏽Love the content brother shared."

User @ theywasdoubting asked:

"Did bro just dox the president?"

User @ onthatile_mogadime_ shared:

"It’s good to see that the president’s house has solar panels. It shows that load shedding doesn’t care who stays where or who you are. If load shedding is hitting your area, the president also feels it."

"Live in front of him, and I can tell you, he is never there."
