A man in Klerksdorp, North West, refused to let a phone snatcher get away on 15 September 2026, stopping a minibus taxi mid-departure to retrieve his stolen cellphone in a confrontation that has since gone viral.
According to footage shared by X account @PrimeTimeNewsZA, the alleged snatcher grabbed the man's phone and bolted into a nearby taxi that was preparing to pull away. The victim gave chase, managed to bring the vehicle to a stop, and physically dragged the suspect out onto the pavement.
