"It's So Bad": Snake Found Inside a Shoe at Verulam Store Shocks KZN Shoppers

• A green snake measuring about one metre was discovered inside a shoe on display at a store in Verulam, KZN
• A window shopper spotted the snake inside the shoe in Todd Street before it slithered out into the display cabinet
• Reaction Unit South Africa responded to the scene and removed the snake under an official Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife permit

A window shopper got the fright of their life on Monday, 12 October, when they spotted a snake coiled inside a shoe on display at a store in Todd Street, Verulam, in KwaZulu-Natal.

The green snake measured roughly one metre in length. By the time a Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officer arrived at the scene, it had already slithered out of the shoe and was found elsewhere inside the display cabinet.
