A group of Grey College students from Bloemfontein caused quite a stir when they decided to make their matric dance entrance one to remember.

Content creator @directedbyp shared the viral video on 31 August 2025, showing how five couples arrived at their school dance in the most unexpected way possible: on the back of a giant John Deere tractor-trailer.

The video shows the massive tractor slowly pulling into the school driveway with an open trailer carrying five beautifully dressed couples. The young ladies sat elegantly on chairs while their dates stood behind them, all dressed in stunning formal wear. As the tractor came to a stop, other students rushed to help put down stairs from the back of the trailer, allowing each couple to make their graceful exit.

"The most Afrikaans thing I have seen all year! 😅 Originality."

What made this entrance so special wasn't just the novelty; it was the message behind it. Instead of hiring expensive cars or limousines like many students do, these five couples chose to use what they had available and made it work beautifully.
