KWAZULU-NATAL — The family of Greytown businessman Rajendra Ramdan (54) is searching for answers after he was found murdered, with his body allegedly thrown off a cliff and discovered in a stream in Muden.
Ramdan was last seen leaving his Voortrekker Street residence at 8 am on 16 September 2026 with someone he knew. CCTV footage confirmed his departure, but he never returned.

His sister, Rita Singh, 61, told the Post that she visited his home that same day, where his lodger told her he had gone into town to do some shopping. Concern only grew the following morning when her nephew called to say Ramdan had not come back.

"The lodger phoned my nephew to say he never returned home and that he was very concerned. We went to the house to check and then opened a missing person case at Greytown SAPS," Singh said.
Body discovered in Muden
On the evening of 20 September, police notified the family that Ramdan's body had been found in Muden, a small area outside Greytown.
"We were told he had been killed. His body was then thrown off a cliff and landed in a stream where it was found days later," Singh said.
The body was only retrieved on 21 September, having remained in the water for several days during heavy rainfall. By that point, decomposition was severe. Because of the state of the remains, the family was forced to have a closed casket at his funeral.
