Hunt on What He Told Kaizer Chiefs Players Against Sundowns

After beating Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has revealed his secret.
Hunt says he told his players they would never lose the DStv Premiership clash as they eventually bagged a 2-1 victory.
The win is not just any, but a massive one because Amakhosi managed to end the 21 match unbeaten run for the reigning league champions.
Chiefs claimed the full three points after finding the back of the net through Mosa Lebusa’s own goal and Dumisani Zuma’s fine strike. Hunt said in his post-match analysis:
“I thought over the 90 minutes [the win] was deserved, I thought in the first-half to go 1-0 down was really unjust, we had the better chances but didn't take them which has been the story of our season - one mistake and it was a goal.
"But we came back and the most important thing, we didn't lose the game, we got a few important points and move up the league [table]. It was a good team effort, we had good opportunities in the final third but that's been the story of our season but we're happy about the result."
Following the hard-fought win, Chiefs now occupy the number eight spot on the log table with 28 points from 23 matches. Added the four-time PSL winner:
"I said, the most important thing is that when Zuma came on it gave us a different dimension because it's more a midfield player coming on for a striker, he's more half and half.
"I kept the same shape because there's a call to change shape with different personnel that comes on but I stayed the same and just said to them if we create those three of four chance we created in the first half, they created the one through individual brilliance.
"I told them we'll never lose the game but it doesn't always work like that. I said the same thing last week and we lost. So I felt we always were in the ascendency, same as Wednesday night we finished strong, we certainly could have got more out of the game but these things happen in football."

Briefly News also reported that Sundowns boss Manqoba Mngqithi attacked Amakhosi, saying they did not deserve to walk away with a victory.
Mngqithi had fired an attack on Chiefs in the wake of their first DStv Premiership loss on Sunday afternoon.
The 10-time Premier Soccer League winners were looking to maintain their unbeaten run at Loftus Versfeld Stadium as they welcomed Amakhosi.
However, a 2-1 scoreline saw the Brazilians remaining at the top but the loss has left an unsavoury taste on the veteran tactician.
