According to Football365, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag stopped two players from leaving the club on deadline day.

Which players attracted interest?

The report says Spanish club Real Betis made a bid to acquire both Antony and Christian Eriksen. Moreover, the Dutchman was unwilling to allow two players to leave in the final stages of deadline day.

Real Betis' offer was subsequently rejected, but the club still made business on the final day of the transfer window.

They finally announced the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, but he is unlikely to play on Sunday against Liverpool.

Academy product McTominay also joined Napoli, and Ten Hag was full of praise.

“He was so important for our team, he was at Manchester United for over 22 years. But unfortunately, it’s the rules."

The Red Devils have won one and lost one of their two games this season, and the former Ajax coach is under pressure to get his team performing better than last season.
