Why Jack Stephens will miss five games

As a result, Stephens was banned for three games in accordance with FA guidelines on serious foul play. However, his conduct attracted further scrutiny, with the officials reporting that he swore at them.

The 30-year-old returned to the pitch to pass on the armband, where he used some expletives on the fourth official, Gavin Ward and Attwell. According to FA's statement, he was found guilty of breaching Rule E3(1) and has thus been suspended for a further two games and handed a £50,000 fine.

Which games will Stephens miss?

Stephens has already missed a cup game against Everton and league games against Ipswich Town and Bournemouth.

Why Bruno Fernandes' red card was overturned

Fernandes caught James Maddison with a high challenge, with referee Christ Kavanagh producing a direct red card. After rescinding the decision, the Portuguese midfielder will now be available for United's next three games.
