New Man United Head Coach Reportedly Wants Club to Get Rid of Striker
- Newly appointed Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly planning to move Joshua Zirkzee in January
- The Dutch striker has struggled for goals since his arrival to the club in the summer from Bologna
- The 20-time English champions have been heavily linked with Amorim's former player Viktor Gyokeres
Manchester United's new coach, Ruben Amorim, is reportedly looking to eliminate striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The Dutch attacker only arrived at Old Trafford in the summer but has only registered one goal this season.
The Red Devils acquired the 23-year-old from Bologna for £36.5 million but are yet to justify the price tag.
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport via Metro Sports, the English giants are considering parting ways with Zirkzee as early as January.

The report adds that Juventus are interested in signing the striker on loan and talks over a possible move are underway.
Zirkzee's former coach, Thiago Motta, is Juventus's head coach. He might want to reunite with a player who helped Bologna reach the Champions League.
This report comes when Man United are increasingly linked with Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, Amorim's former player. However, the Portuguese coach ruled out signing any of his former players in January.
Zirkzee scored on his debut against Fulham on the opening day of the season but has yet to find the net since. Many hope Amorim can rejuvenate him when his spell starts on November 24.
Man United fans blast Zirkzee
In a related report, Briefly News earlier reported that Man United fans criticised Zirkzee after a poor performance against Chelsea in the Premier League.
The Dutch star was brought on in the 84th minute and had chances to score the winner, but he fluffed his lines.
Amorim meets Man United players
Briefly News also reported that Amorim warmly embraced Man United players in his first meeting at the Carrington training complex.
Amorim met Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Leny Yoro while working out.
Most Manchester United players are on international duty and on holiday; therefore, he will meet the rest next week. Amorim will coach his first game on 24 November after the conclusion of the final international break of the year.
