Guardiola has had more success with six Premier League titles, including the last four in a row, compared to Mourinho's three won in 2005, 2006, and 2015.
While his team was losing at Anfield on Sunday, December 1, the Spaniard held up six fingers to symbolize his titles. In 2018, Mourinho held up three fingers as Manchester United coach but was fired months later.
The former Barcelona coach was asked if the same fate awaits him.
"I hope not in my case... He won three, I won six...It [the gesture] was just to make our fans feel that what we have done is extraordinary," he said via Manchester Evening News.
The Fenerbahce boss fired back with a savage response.
"Guardiola said something to me yesterday. He won six trophies and I won three, but I won fairly and cleanly. If I lost, I want to congratulate my opponent because he was better than me. I don’t want to win by dealing with 150 lawsuits."
Man City are facing 115 charges after being accused of breaking financial fair play rules.
Guardiola throws shade at Mourinho

Appearing with noticeable facial scars, the Spaniard addressed the issue but acknowledged City’s struggles. The champions face Liverpool next, with the Reds potentially extending an 11-point gap in the title race.
