Durban City have rolled out a lavish welcome for their new coaching staff, presenting head coach Eric Tinkler and his assistant Musa Nyatama with brand-new BMW vehicles shortly after confirming the duo's appointments.

The Nedbank Cup champions shared photographs and a video on their official platforms showing Tinkler taking the wheel of a luxury BMW SUV, while Nyatama received the keys to a white BMW 325i 3 Series. The vehicles were provided courtesy of club sponsor Supertech Group.

Tinkler brings wealth of experience to Durban

Tinkler's arrival at Durban City follows a stint in Ghana, where he most recently managed Asante Kotoko. The experienced coach returns to the Betway Premiership with an extensive résumé, having previously taken charge of Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City, Sekhukhune United and SuperSport United.

Busy schedule awaits new coaching duo

The club's new management team will have little breathing room to settle in. Durban City, currently placed 10th in the league standings, are set to face Arthur Zwane's high-flying AmaZulu in domestic competition before turning to back-to-back CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary-round ties against Mauritian side Association Sportive Port-Louis 2000 (ASPL 2000).

The continental and domestic commitments resume following the FIFA international break, placing immediate pressure on Tinkler and Nyatama to find their footing quickly. While the BMW handover signals a warm welcome off the pitch, delivering results on it will define the success of their tenure at Durban City.
