With the Wallabies Test on Sunday still days away, Rassie Erasmus and his Springbok management crew decided there was plenty of time to soak up some Perth sunshine first.
The coaching staff allowed themselves a proper breather after an exhausting four-Test series against New Zealand, which the world champions won 3-1, before shifting their focus to Optus Stadium.

The group marked their downtime with a quintessentially South African combination: a beach day, a braai, some Afrikaans music, and good company.
Scrum coach Daan Human took command of the braai, while one unnamed member of the backroom staff had loftier ambitions, attempting to master stand-up paddleboarding in true Australian fashion. The ocean had other ideas, though, and he ended up taking an unplanned splash into the water.

Erasmus, who has never shied away from a bit of banter, filmed the moment and posted it to his Instagram account, with the caption:
"Some of us stay South African, others try to be local in a foreign country."
It was a lighthearted break well earned. The Springboks had just wrapped up a historic series triumph over the All Blacks, adding to earlier victories against Argentina this year. Perth's warm weather offered the perfect backdrop to recharge before the squad turns its attention to another physical Southern Hemisphere challenge.
