Lerato Kganyago, also known as LKG, is a prominent South African actress, model, and media personality. Born and raised in Soweto, she gained early recognition in beauty pageants before transitioning into a multifaceted career in television, radio, and business. She is also known for her work as a DJ and entrepreneur.

Career

Lerato Kganyago began her career in modeling, being crowned Miss Jam Alley in 2002 and Miss Soweto in 2005. After working as a flight attendant for Qatar Airways, she joined Soweto TV as a television host, presenting her own talk show, "The LKG Show." She also became the face of SABC1's lifestyle entertainment show, "The Link," and hosted the FIFA Soccer World Cup for the SABC.

Her radio career includes hosting programs at Jozi FM and a popular slot on Metro FM. She has made acting appearances in TV series like "Muvhango," "Play: Sex Tips for Girls," and "The Wild," and performed comedic skits on "The Phat Joe Show." She owns an event management company called "Black Angel" and in May 2022, announced a partnership with Johnnie Walker. In October 2024, she was announced as a host of the 18th South African Film and Television Awards.

Dating history

Lerato Kganyago married Thami Ndlela in March 2020. They briefly divorced after two months but he proposed again, and they remarried. Prior to this, she dated Bafana Bafana player Katlego Mashego, to whom she was engaged in 2013, but the relationship ended.
