A young Ghanaian man named Shadrack Kwasi Nuamah has been adjudged the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) valedictorian for 2023.
The young achieved a first-class BSc Mining Engineering degree with a Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 88.08% from a Ghanaian university.

UMaT graduation: Hearing-impaired GH lady bags master's degree
Briefly News' sister site, YEN.com.gh, reported that the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) awarded a master's degree to a hearing-impaired Ghanaian woman.
Lydia Abayie Acquah graduated from the Faculty of Integrated Management Science with a Master of Business Technology Management (MBTM) degree during the just-completed 14th Congregation with a Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 76.80%.
According to the university, Acquah has suffered hearing loss since she was about 10 years old.
Former PRESEC-Legon student graduates as valedictorian of his class at University of Ghana
Still in education, YEN.com.gh, a former Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) student, Jacklord Agyabeng Amponsah, was named the valedictorian of his graduating class at the University of Ghana.
With a Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 3.93, the Bachelor of Science in Management student (Accounting Option) received the highest grade in his class.
The prodigy has always excelled in school. Before enrolling at the University of Ghana, he succeeded greatly in his alma mater.
