South Africa's Minister of Resources Gwede Mantashe has just received his coronavirus vaccine and is encouraging Mzansi to do the same. He took to his Twitter account to share a short clip of the painless procedure.

"I have been vaccinated. We encourage people to get vaccinated to save lives & protect livelihoods #WeChooseVaccination" he captioned the post.

It was definitely a busy day at the East Rand Mall, with many people gathered to receive their jabs too. The Minister seemed a little camera shy as the administering nurse pulled down his sleeve and finally vaccinated him.

Meanwhile, Briefly News previously reported that a local man has turned some heads on social media with his hilarious comments. He threw some serious shade at Archbishop Magkoba on vaccination day.

Taking to his Twitter account, @kay_mahapa posted some iconic pics of the Bishops looking ever so stylish in their purple robes. They were definitely dripping in some godly swagger while getting their vaccinations.

Mahapa definitely noticed and couldn't help adding his own hilarious comments, suggesting Archbishop Tutu might be selling the fashionable purple robes.
