"I have always been a believer of marriage is for companionship not for children," he told Briefly News in a phone interview.
The couple is now expecting their first child after spending their time and resources visiting different gynaecologists. Each time they visited the specialists, the doctors told them that they had no complications.
"My wife conceived on Valentine's Day 2021. I just want people to know that patience is the best article. Kuwa tu mpole (be patient) and God's time is the best," Musamali said.
Woman conceives after 8 years of trying
Elsewhere an elated woman narrated her eight-year struggle to conceive, saying she almost died.
Lucy Mwihaki almost lost her life in her quest to become a parent but did not give up. The woman had four miscarriages before finally giving birth to a baby girl. Two of her miscarriages were so bad they almost cost her life due to over bleeding.
"This got really bad because I lost so much blood I had to be admitted to the hospital for a blood transfusion. I remember seeing the doctors working on my body while I was watching from a distance," she recalled.
She also conceived soon after this and gave birth to another child. A son. She said that God heard her cries. The mom of two said her life had been a testimony. She uses her story to encourage other women who are trying to conceive.
Mwihaki holds a special place in her for all the babies she ever had a chance to carry but didn't get to meet. They were all boys.
