Thuso Mbedu is about to make her mark on American screens. The gorgeous actress landed a very big role.
She'll be the lead in an American series, The Underground Railroad, and is the first South African to bag such an important part.
Thuso is already a sterling actress in Mzansi, she's been nominated for an Emmy before and there is no doubt that she'll nail this role and keep making her country proud.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Thuso will star as Cora, the main character of the show, which tells the story of two slaves, Cora and Caesar, in the 19th century.
They attempt to get their freedom through the Underground Railroad, a transport system that also offers secret routes and safe houses.
The story will be made by Amazon and is based on a book of the same name, which was published in 2016.
As reported by goodthingsguy.com, it made it to the bestseller lists and won the 2016 National Book Award for Fiction, the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and the 2017 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence.
